Odemira Art and Science Biennial

In 2026, the Municipality of Odemira presents edition zero of the Odemira Art and Science Biennial, a new international platform for creation, experimentation, and contemporary thought, connected to the land, to its communities, and to the cultural and ecological diversity of the region.

Curated by Hugo Cruz, the initiative sets out to establish Odemira as a meeting point between art, science, the environment, education, and civic participation, through a program that brings together artist residencies, performances, installations and works in public space, talks, and workshops.
