How does the Odemira Commercial and Creative District marketplace work?

September 11th, 2026

The Odemira Commercial and Creative District (BCCO) now has a digital home: this Marketplace. Here’s everything you need to know to start using it, without complications.

How do I get around the marketplace?

The Marketplace is organized into five sections:

  • Stores: a list of every business taking part in the District, with its location, description, and contact details.
  • Products: what each store has for sale, to explore by category.
  • News: like this article, with updates on the project.
  • Events: what’s coming up in town, with dates and locations.
  • About Us: more about the project, how to buy, and how to sell.

It’s available in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

How do I buy?

When you find a product you’re interested in, you can buy it directly on the marketplace, paying online by credit or debit card, Multibanco, MB WAY, or bank transfer (according to each seller’s terms), without having to go to the store to complete the purchase.

Store pickup and locker delivery are both free. The lockers are located between Rua José Maria de Andrade and Rua Sousa Prado, next to the Serviço de Finanças building (the Odemira tax office). Delivery to another address is not yet available.

How do the lockers work?

If you can’t get to the store to pick up your order, the Odemira Commercial and Creative District has set up a system of digital lockers where you can collect your purchase whenever it suits you.

Once your order has been processed, you’ll receive the locker access code by text message. Just go to the lockers and use the code to open the door indicated.

And if I need to return a product?

Returns are handled directly at the physical store, according to the conditions of each product and seller, and within the applicable legal time limits.

I’m a business owner and I want to join the marketplace. What do I do?

If you have a store, a restaurant, or any other business in the historic center of Odemira and you’re not yet part of the BCCO, you can join the marketplace. Just get in touch with the District Manager, João Mira, who will walk you through the first steps.

You don’t need to be an expert in online shopping to use the Odemira Commercial and Creative District marketplace. It’s simply one more way to reach the same stores, the same people, the same local businesses as always.

Shopping, Heritage, Culture, Food, Crafts, and Events. All in one place.
